Today’s Weather: Clouds and cool. High 73. 61 now.
Heavier rhetoric from the Chinese government today provided the backdrop for a naval skirmish between PLAN and Japanese warships in the Yellow Sea. Shots were fired and both sides retreated before the situation got out of hand.
We are beginning to get some indications of increasing communications traffic between a number of Chinese military command headquarters and Beijing. I cannot go into much detail on this, naturally. But suffice to say it is of growing interest to us here in Denver.
Final piece of interesting news. The Chinese ambassador here informed us a reply to Beijing’s demand will be expected at approximately 8 PM Mountain time on Sunday evening. I think both governments know what our answer is going to be and have factored it into the respective plans.
